Christian Ministry
Whether in the Church that I'm part of, through my work, or as something else, I am blessed to have been able to get involved in a wide range of Christian based ministry activities. And all of this is to the glory of God and to extend His work in whatever area that might be. I don't want to keep any of this to myself and certainly don't want to divert attention to me through it.
So on this page, I'll tell you a bit more about this, including how your ministry - corporate or individual - could potentially benefit from me walking alongside you in ministry. I've also got a few free resources to share with you.
Church Mission Review
I can come to your church as an external pair of eyes, and help you review what you're doing, what is going on around you, and identify if there is anything new or different that you could be doing. Do you need to press on, refocus, or start again? I'll work alongside you to help bring in resources, training, support, or whatever else is needed. I might refer you to specific areas of support that I would recommend, or quote for some additional work that I could do with you.
Now let me honest, this isn't a free service - I'm sorry, I wish it was. But it's a low cost way in to identify any bigger support that might (or might not) be needed. I'm also not going to give you an 'off the shelf' package because that's not how I work and this kind of support cannot be a 'one size fits all' kind of thing. It can all start with an email and then a coffee (and maybe a cake!) or just a zoom chat. We'll talk through where you're at, where you want to be, then I'll put a package together for you. Simple!
Preaching
I have had the privilege of preaching in various churches of different denominations. I mean that - it is a privilege. Not just to share a Bible message with different congregations, but simply to bring God's message at that time for those people. I do this on the radio as well, but having contact with the people I'm speaking to is so much better. I bring a lifetime of learning along with some formal Bible training and study. But more importantly, I come with a heart to share God's word with a wide range of people.
Whether it's with one of my development clients, a church I know, or just a one off visit - if you're in need of someone to preach then drop me a message. I can bring a message that I think is right for your setting, fit in with any planned preaching, or take the lectionary readings for that week. I can also do 10 minutes or half an hour! Essentially, I can fit in with what is right for your setting. And what's more, I'll do this for travel costs only. Worship
Over the years, music has played a huge part in my life. Starting with the recorder at school, then music ministry with The Salvation Army, firstly on cornet then later on euphonium (and a short stint on tenor horn as well), plus learning the piano, and then getting to play for the choir, as well as accompanying hymn singing. And then I began having opportunities to lead worship and I also wrote a whole load of songs. So if you need someone to lead worship (traditional, modern, or a mixture), or just simply play for the hymns, drop me a message and I'll be with you for just travel costs.
Alternatively, and with the help of a few friends, I could help you develop your worship ministry, not just for corporate sung worship, but also general congregational life. That would have a fee attached (sorry), but as with everything, an affordable package would be created bespoke for your needs and to ensure maximum glory to God.
